Carpe Diem Writing and Enjoying Haiku #6 new ways T his has been the year when Hubby and I along with a whole bunch of other folks celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary . We actually started the celebration back at the end of June, our actual 'date'. It continued with a trip to France. Returning home we began working on The Party that was delayed till the grandsons returned from a summer in Canada. As we have friends our own ages, they, too, are celebrating 50 years. That means more trips. Unexpected strength of hurricane Harvey resulted in Hubby and I choosing to downsize even more. And how do two people stay together for 50 years of marriage? Well, forgiveness, understanding and a willingness to step together into the unknown of new ways. fifty years with the same man always something new keeps me guessing what's next? © petra domina Thanks to Chèvrefeuille for daily prompts on CARPE DIEM HAIKU KAI ...
I love this, Janice. My grandson used to love tea time, choosing from my antique tea cups in the curio my great-aunt gave me. One day I invited a friend with her daughter and they had their tea party...4 and 5 years old, they were so adorable. You've brought back such fond memories with your haiku. Thank you :)
ReplyDeleteIt seems that most children play tea party. I loved my Aunt Lillis who was really my great aunt. She always had time to play with me at the little table and my tea set. Then a couple of years ago I did the same with my great niece. Good times and good memories for all. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your memory. Love from the Texas Two!
DeleteSmiling - I can imagine the scene with the child - lovely!

ReplyDeleteAs children we dream of the time to be grown. As elderly we spend time living in our memories.
