Carpe Diem #1037 pleasure
[...] "There is pleasure in the pathless woods,
there is rapture in the lonely shore,
there is society where none intrudes,
by the deep sea, and music in its roar;
I love not Man the less,
but Nature more."
[...] Lord Byron
bird calling
from the spreading live oak tree
come sing with me
the rock speaks
in a deep, gravelly voice
water bubbles back
rippling harmonious sound
but one of nature's grand tunes
listen
the angle of geese
calling winter
languid clouds
sprinkle the earth
with joy

DeleteNature just took me away on such a lovely journey here...I cannot feel bad that summer is leaving...there are so many wonders in each season. Haiku writing helps to be reminded of this.
ReplyDeleteI can assure you I am ready for the heat of summer to leave.
