Unlocked Fence
Fences are a hot topic in my nation these days. The subjects of how high, how long and how much it will cost are in the news almost daily.  There is no mention of gates, only the fence.

 unlocked fence
beckons one to come inside
clang of gate

    walk across the countryside
   miles stretch across horizon
   sun drains all but hope

       finally free?
      the child is taken
      from parent's arms
