Carpe Diem Tan Renga Challenge Month May 14th 'taste of nature' by Sara McNulty Cousin and Hubby have the bond of their twin parents.  Hubby's dad and Cousin's mom were a birth with a surprise bonus for Grandma back in 1916.  'Hardly enough diapers for one little own two', Grandma one mused.  Cousin's Mom had died too young leaving her three small children ages 2, 4 and 5 in the care of their father.  Grandma, aunts and uncles stepped up to care for the little ones.  On the downside of middle age, Cousin recalled summers spent with Grandma.  Wild blackberry bushes were abundant in the rocky soils of the hundred year family farm.  Berry picking was such a treasured memory for Cousin.  But more so the berry cobblers made by Grandma taste of nature - sweet blackberry bushes sing to child and bees        © Sara McNulty one dropped in grandma's apron two popped in the child's mouth!   ©    Janice 'petra d...

Carpe Diem Tan Renga Challenge Month May 10th "the willow leaves fallen" by Yosa Buson Buson was not only a haiku poet, he was also a great painter. He painted several paintings to illustrate Basho's world famous haibun "The Narrow Road Into The Deep North"., but he also created several other wonderful haiga. Haiga by Yosa Buson However this month it's not about haiga, its about Tan Renga that short chained poem written by two poets.
