air

It is the time of year to change out the flowers on my parents' grave.  The cemetery is one of those perpetual care places.  Mom bought the plots, four at the time, in the 1960's.  Sissy and I were still kids at home so there needed to be four graves .... just in case.  Years later Mom gave two of the graves to my uncle in exchange for a car.  Now instead of my younger sister or I being there next to them, it is our first cousin.  A handsome man in his late 60's that died from complications of ALS.  There were no flowers on his grave...

    1. It is sad to see Jerry's marker. He was a dashing young man and elegant in the way of Cary Grant as he grew older. janice xx

    1. Thank you, jazzy. Between the location and proximity to my 70th birthday it is kinda sobering.
