Carpe Diem Full Circle #2-2016

rain flows
across the young leaves
dropping on buds

mountain silence nourishes
the souls of young monks who hear

river flows
beneath the summer breeze
the she-wolf drinks

pecking through the early snow
startled sparrow takes flight

cold blue sky
gives way to spring
again rain flows

  1. I like the mixed form and the circular flow from rain back to rain! My favourite lines:

    'river flows
    beneath the summer breeze
    the she-wolf drinks'

    and

    'pecking through the early snow
    startled sparrow takes flight'

    1. Thanks you for the comment. The way the muses and the brain work together is delightful to experience. All I knew was it had to be a she-wolf.
