Carpe Diem #1071 brush (zen-calligraphy)

Once upon a time .... painting and calligraphy seemed like a good hobby.  To achieve the desired results required preparation of the paint.  Mixing colors or possibly a thinning agent for the right consistency.  The loading of the brush was just as critical.  Too little and the continuous stroke could not be completed.  Too much and the result was more of a blob than the desired swirl or dot.  The angle of the hand and the right brush for the task.  So much to think about and consider!  Never the desired result.  If only one had just let go ....

    1. Yes, brush on paper, wood, canvas is certainly like a dance. The feeling of getting the brush loaded correctly and the movement on the medium is blissful.

    1. Well, I used a pen not a brush. Still pretty difficult. In my profession of working on the artwork used to image circuit boards, I used a brush for touch up work. Precise movements to add .001 inch to the width of a circuit. Exacto knives were used to do the opposite, removing microscopic particles. Yes, I did this while looking through a bifocal microscope. Great job for an OCD person like myself!
