Carpe Diem # 1020 rainbow

[…]“Try to be
a rainbow in
someone's
cloud.”[…]
  Maya Angelou
(1928-2014)

The first time I heard any of Ms. Angelou's poetry was at the inauguration of President Bill Clinton in 1993.  Ms. Angelou had been raised on and off by her grandmother in Stamps, Arkansas, President Clinton's home state.  It was not just Ms. Angelou's words but, also, her voice as she recited her works that would completely engulf me.  Her work and voice continue to resonate.
